Pro Bono, Right to Your Inbox!

Now you can find a pro bono case, in your area of interest, without getting up from your chair. How? With ProJusticeMN’s new Case Placement Tool.

ProJusticeMN is a unique collaboration of the Minnesota public interest legal community. Among other initiatives, the collaboration - Minnesota Legal Services Coalition, Minnesota State Bar Association, Legal Services Advocacy Project, and the federal Legal Services Corporation - worked together to develop ProJusticeMN.org.  It is a phenomenal website, full of resources, calendars, and listservs to assist your pro bono work in the areas of Civil, Family, Immigration, and Real Estate law.

Recently, ProJusticeMN.org released its new Case Placement Tool – pretty slick. The new tool acts as the bridge between legal service providers seeking volunteer attorneys and attorneys looking for pro bono cases.  Legal service providers post volunteer cases with an indication of what areas of law and issues are involved. Then lawyers who have indicated an interest in that area are immediatedly emailed about the opportunity.

To get started, you must become a member of projusticemn.org, according to your pro bono practice area. It’s free and a great resource for relevant news, events, pleadings, statutes, and other practice aids.  Once you’re a member, sign up for new case notifications by practice area and county.  If case arises that meets your criteria, you’ll receive an email alert with a link to the case.
