Off the Clock #7: So You Still Wanna Blawg?
We’re continuing our Off the Clock Series on April 22 at 3:00 p.m. at my house (yep, I’m hosting) in Minneapolis, picking up where we left off last time with blogging and how to set up, host, and operate your own WordPress site. Last time when we were in Woodbury we covered how to purchase a domain, set up hosting services, and install WordPress on your own domain. This time we’ll cover buying and installing themes, working with themes, and installing some of our favorite WordPress plug-ins that can make your site easier to use and more powerful for users.
Even if you are not interested in blogging, our “So You Wanna Blawg?” series is useful if you just want to set up a simple website, at very little cost. Or, if you cannot be there, check out our last three videos on this subject, which are now available on the Practice Blawg.
And, as always, Off the Clock is not limited to one topic — bring your own topics, ideas, or bugs and we’ll have time to shoot them around and, hopefully, answer them.
Interested in attending? RSVP and we’ll put you down and send out more details by e-mail. We also have a new mailing list for those interested in receiving tips that we develop out of the series. Sign up for the list (promise, it’s a low-volume-no-spam-allowed list) and we’ll make sure you get updates and announcements.
