Heads up on new Minnesota legislation effective August 1: (8 hours ago)

A Survey, Bah Humbug??

I rarely fill out surveys, so I am in an awkward position to ask you to do just that, but let me give it a try… So often when I blithely hit “delete” on a survey request, I am being asked to comment on a past experience. I think “I don’t have time to wax eloquent on something that has already happened.” Immediately after that self-important thought, I have a belittling one, that is, “Who cares what I think?”

Let me dissuade me from either of those responses with this survey request. Your survey comments are used by practicelaw staff to determine how to improve practicelaw in the future, starting now. We work for you, every one of you, and your individual and collective comments are a primary consideration when we plan for the upcoming years.

Case in point: We developed probate forms when you asked for them; now hundreds of members use these forms, thanks to the comments of those who answered a previous survey. In these lean budget times, more than ever we need to know how to spend our time and budget to best meet your needs and wants. We can’t provide cost-effective, targeted materials without your input.

So, in this case, do as I ask not as I do. Take a few minutes and let us know how to meet your practice needs.

Thanks and Happy Holidays from practicelaw.
